George's Watersports offers a new and spectacular bioluminescent 'bio bay' night kayak tour through a lush mangrove forest. Travel by kayak to a newly discovered bio bay only minutes from Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. Witness the sea light-up as you paddle through a mangrove forest.

The amazing bioluminescent spectacle occurs due to tiny single-celled organisms called dinoflagellates that emit light when moved in the water. This new Bio Bay has certain physical conditions that have allowed a high concentration of these single celled bio organisms to accumulate, and as a result, provide a once in a life time experience.

This fascinating night time phenomena occurs in only a few other locations in the world, making it a true must-do for all visitors to the Cayman Islands.

George's Watersports is the only business offering night bioluminescence kayak tours at this new location, just minutes from all the hotels and condos along Seven Mile Beach. Other companies would have you drive an hour away to Rum Point (assuming you are staying near Seven Mile beach), to witness a bio bay that isn't brighter. Each tour lasts for 1.5 hours.

Our bioluminescent tours are scheduled only on certain nights of the month when the night is darkest, thus allowing the bioluminescence to be seen clearly, and providing a superior experience.

Kayaking in the dark of night is a very exciting experience, yet at the same time, is relaxing and peaceful. The area is in a lagoon that is well protected from the outside ocean, resulting in minimal waves. This bioluminescent kayak tour is great for anyone who wants to get outside and try something new.

We offers free pick-up for any hotel guests staying along Seven Mile Beach, and even if you have your own car but are unsure of how to get to the Cayman Islands Yacht Club, we can drive to you, and you can follow us in your own car.

We only do our bioluminescent kayak tours for about two weeks out of every month to ensure quality in every tour; the bioluminescent schedule follows the moon cycle, so we are only able to offer the tour two weeks in every month. We advise that you make your booking on a night that allows you to reschedule if bad weather results in a postponed tour. Also, you should book your tour at least a week in advance because the bioluminescent tours can become fully booked if you leave it too late.

We strive to ensure that all guests enjoy their experience, which is why all of our tour groups are limited to small sizes, giving guests a far more private and in-depth tour experience.

Cameras are not recommended on tour because it is very difficult to capture pictures of the bioluminescence at night, and special photography equipment is needed. Also, the flash from the cameras would detract from the experience of other guests.

George is very passionate and experienced in what he does, delivering a professional, unforgettable kayaking experience to every guest. George was born and raised in Grand Cayman, and has been kayaking since he was a child. It is advised that you wear swim wear or clothing that you don't mind getting wet in, because you will get wet from the waist down. Also, you should bring some towels so that you can sit on them in your vehicle after the tour.
